Chittering Heritage: The first recorded jourmey was made in April 1835 by George Fletcher Moore into what was later to become the Shire of Chittering with the first land grants made in 1843. Significant historic buildings in the district include the Old Road Board building at the Brockman Centre and the Holy Trinity Church.

Things To Do in Chittering: The district has many walk trails with one of the most popular being a visit to Blackboy Ridge with it's wonderful vista of farmlands, orchards, vineyards and forest. The beautiful Grass Tree sculpture at the entrance to the ridge is part of a local drive trail.
